Steel Beam Restoration
An innovative, cost effective way to rescue & protect beams rusted by moisture entrapped in fireproofing insulation or concrete surrounds.
|

Before (viewed from under the beam)
|
After breaking away the existing fireproofing material from the bottom of the beam, the extent of the rust damage becomes obvious. The restored beam is now waterproofed, protected from future rust, Class-A fire rated, ready for fireproofing where necessary.
|
After (viewed from under the beam) |
The beam below shows the stages of the restoration process.
A) Existing fireproofing material.
B) Rust previously hidden is now exposed.
C) Rust converted back to black steel.
D) Sealant primer coat.
E) Waterproof coating.
